Deleted header from website

    Hi there,

    I added some data into the theme head.php to connect my website to Mailchimp, but seem to have deleted my header in the process as it’s no longer showing when I view my website.

    All data (header image + logo) is still set-up when I go to edit the theme layout, however the live version does not display the header. What can I do to fix this?

    Hi there,

    Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We cannot help with this in the WordPress.com forums.

    Please contact support for the theme you’re using directly for help with this. My guess is you’ll likely have to completely delete and reinstall your theme to fix this.

    As a general rule you should never edit header.php, or any other theme files, directly. If you need to add code to that file, either use a plugin to do it, or create a child theme.
