Deleted Image from Media Gallery – Link Still Exists

  I added an image to my media gallery and created a link….

  

  I’m weird about grammar and noticed an error so I edited the image, deleted the previous image in my media gallery, and added a new image that I am actively using in a posting. It created a link…

  

  But, even though my original image is no longer in my media gallery and I have cleared by brower’s cache, the original image link still exists…

  

  How can I unequivocally remove any trace of the above link from my blog if it’s image isn’t in my media gallery?

  FYI – the link eventually deletes (maybe a few days or a week later) once the media object is removed from the library.
