deleted image still on your server

Hi there. It can take up to two days for the image to disappear from the WordPress.com servers. If it’s still there after that time, let me know and I’ll tag this for staff to follow up.
As for the image still appearing on Google – about that WordPress.com can’t do anything. Search engines keep their own caches of images and pages and you have to contact the respective search engines directly to get it removed from their servers (some search engines simply don’t have the option to do that). To specifically have it removed from Google.com, see here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

Hi there,
Sorry for the trouble! I just made sure that image was removed from all the WordPress.com servers. If you still see the image on your end, please clear your browser’s cache. As kokkieh noted, it may take longer for Google to remove the image from their search results and caches.

Hello,
I have the same issue with an image deleted a week ago from my media library.
All others were definitively deleted, but not this one, the link is still working (?)

Sorry, but no, it isn’t.
I have cleaned my cache browser, and even my cache DNS, and for me the image is still cached on wordpress.com servers. I can access to. -

Thanks raincoaster!
I confirm that I get a 404 error when I use another computer or my smartphone.
However, I continue to see it, even with my browser and my DNS cleaned. That’s amazing! -
Finaly, the link is still working!
I can access to the image whatever the computer I use.
Need the help of a a Happiness Engineer to definitively fix this issue. -
