Deleted images from my media folder

  I deleted images from my media folder in WordPress. But if I use the direct URL e.g. https://grannyontour.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/afrika.gif?w=640&h=639 it still appears. What could I do to delete it permanently???

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That file now produces a 404 — File not found.

  If you don’t get a 404 then you need to clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

  Hi there!

  When did you delete them? It can take a little while to be removed fully from our caches.

  Right now, that link is leading to a Not Found page for me.
