Deleted images in library now gone from old posts

  I deleted media images in library to free up space and now the posts with those images aren’t showing. Is this normal? If i delete an image from my library does it remove it from older posts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Oh no! Images have to be on servers to be displayed. You created this disappearance of images from posts. When you delete images from your Media Library they are no longer on the WordPress.com servers and cannot be displayed in posts and pages you embedded them into. All you get then is broken links “404” page not found. They have to be uploaded again. Read this for more info http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/09/20/omg-my-images-are-gone/

  Ugh!! I wish wordpress would put a big warning by the delete button!! Thank you so much for the response!! I have a lot of work to do :) thanks
