Deleted Media

  I have deleted a Media item permanently, but direct link to the media content still works.

  Can i please get some help to remove this media item

  I’m getting a 404 – file not found so it looks like it has been removed. The files are cached on the WordPress.com side of things and may take a few days to clear out and for you to see it removed. They also might be lingering on your own computer’s cache so try clearing that and seeing if it still pops up.

  it’s still there, i can reach it from a different computer so its not the cached file.

  How do i remove it?

  I’ve tagged this topic so staff can take a closer look. They might be able to dig deeper and help you remove that item.

  Hi @rockafella007, to clarify, our servers cache files as well. It usually takes a day or so to delete them completely. I’ve cleared the cache here to be sure it’s totally gone, and you may need to clear your computer cache again too. Cheers!
