Deleted Media

  I have deleted a Media item permanently, but direct link to the media content still works.

  I have also deleted my wordpress site as it is still showing my pdf.

  Can i please get some help to remove this media item asap.

  Hi alexadeighton,

  I clicked on the link and I cannot see the image. Do you think it might be in the web browser cache?

  If you can still see it and I can’t, then you should clear your cache. You shouldn’t see be able to see the image any longer.

  Yes I can still see it. I’ll clear the cache and see if it removes. Thanks for the quick response.

  I went to your website and found the website is removed. The file is also not visible.

  Try this:

  Since you have cleared the cache, load the link and then refresh the page by clicking on the refresh button or using the shortcut refresh button. If it is still showing up then the file is stored on your browser. I tried all three browsers (Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome) and I cannot see the image or the website on any of them.

  media files are cached on WordPress.COM, takes about three days for deleted media to be deleted from the cache

  The staff can flush your stuff from the cache if you need, also remember that search engines keep a lot of items in their cache and it can take a while for them to update the cache and delete your content
