Deleted media

I need to recover accidentally deleted media from my media library. I have to use WordPress to upload my university work on to, and now all my image from the past year have been deleted. Is there a way to recover the images? Or are there companies that can recover them for me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
As the warning when you deleted the images indicated, deleting media files from the library is permanent, and there is no way to restore the images again. You will need to re-upload the images if you still have them on your computer.
In this case it’s not possible to pay someone else to recover the images for you, as the images weren’t deleted from your hard drive, but from our servers.
If you don’t have copies of the images on your own computer either, the only other thing I can suggest is to see if a site like archive.org has recent snapshots of your site. Then you should be able to download the images from there to re-upload to your site again.

This does not seem to be accurate. I have “permanently deleted” images and document, yet, if I know the full URL to that assess/file/image I can still view that item in my browser. How long does it take for deleted files/images to truly be deleted and no longer accessible?

Deleted content can still be cached on our servers for a few hours after they are deleted, and it can still be cached for several weeks with search engines. Additionally, your browser also keeps a local cache of files it downloads while opening a website, and it’s most likely this last one you see if you visit the direct link.
