Deleted media still showing up after replacing image.

I have an image on my homepage as well as on a post that I need to replace due to a typo.
I want to start by saying I have cleared all browser cache and website cache as a step to resolve the issue.
I have fully deleted the image in question from media tab. I have removed the image from the pages in question and replace with a new uploaded image. But the images do not change on the website.
The odd thing is that on the editing page for the homepage shows the correct image. But on the blog post page the image will not change.
If I delete these images altogether and update the website there are no images showing.
Any assistance would be great thanks.
