deleted my blog, can no longer access my domain

  I deleted my wordpress blog http://www.stevesclubflagstaff.com and own the domain through godaddy. However, wordpress has not released the domain back to me and I cannot use it on my new site. I need to get this resolved as it’s been months of inaction.

  stevesclubflagstaff.com is not registered through WordPress.com, it is just mapped here. Our system has no control over mapped domains. There is nothing to “release” I’m afraid.

  You need to log into your GoDaddy account and change the nameservers to point to your new webhost.

  I am having a similar problem and would appreciate your help…. I deleted my site vtemily.wordpress.com and would like to start it back up. The URL is taken (by me….). Is there anyway I can reused my old URL?

  I am afraid not. Deleted URLs are no longer available. We make this clear in the deletion process and encourage people to just make their blog private if they want to close it down but not lose the URL.
