Deleted my domain, it’s now parked

  I deleted my domain josephzhu.com, because I wanted to host my site with github pages, and I wanted to use the domain for that site. I expected the domain to be released, however that wasn’t the case, it was parked instead. I would like the domain to be released.

  Hi there, we generally do not recommend that domains are cancelled in order to be used with other providers, because they cannot be immediately released. When they are released post expiration, it’s possible that they can be registered by someone else before you have a chance to re-register them. We have more information about this here:

  I was able to restore your domain, and you can transfer it to GitHub Pages. If they offer transfer of the domain registration, we have a guide for that:

  Alternatively if you just wish to point the domain to their servers but leave it registered with WordPress.com, you can do so:
