deleted my site and want to activate it again.

I had a blog called speedbyte.wordpress.com and I deleted it few months back, but I want to rewrite and add my posts.
Somehow the WordPress website does not allow me anymore to reactivate it.
It says, that the website already exists and cannot be created.
At the same time it says, that the user ( myself ) have deleted the website.Can anyone help?

You agreed several times that deleting a site was forever gone and could not be reused – you need to pick a new name
