Deleted my website by mistake an hour ago

“my WordPress site was accidentally deleted about an hour ago. Could you please help me restore it?”

Hi,
See the Restore a deleted site section of the Delete a website support page for relevant instructions. Incidentally, the site https://techsentrysecurity.com/ has not been deleted. Are you referring to a different site?
-
Note that this is WordPress.com and that domain was registered at Godaddy and has Inmotionhosting nameservers. If you are referring to a different unnamed site hosted here then the above links apply.

Host provider said they don’t have a backup of my site. Thats strange considering all the website files and images is still visible on the file manager section of the cpanel. Could you kindly let me know what I can do as the entire site is reverted back to the word press hello template.
Thank u

It’s very confusing when the host says there’s no backup, but you can still see files in File Manager.
What you are seeing is a very common problem. The files and images are still there, but the “brain” of your WordPress site, the database, has been lost or damaged. The database holds all your pages, posts, settings, and passwords. Without it, WordPress can’t find your content, so it shows the basic “Hello” theme instead.
Your host’s “no backup” message likely means they don’t have a backup of this specific database.

Log into your hosting control panel (cPanel) and look for a section called “Backups” or “MySQL Databases.” Sometimes, hosts provide a tool for you to create your own backups, and there might be an old database file saved there that you can restore.
Do you use a security or backup plugin like UpdraftPlus or Jetpack? These plugins often send backup files to your email or a cloud service like Google Drive. Also, check if your web designer ever sent you a backup file. Any old backup from the last few weeks is better than starting over.
-
In your cPanel’s File Manager, look for the wp-config.php file in your main website folder. This file connects WordPress to your database. It’s possible the database name, username, or password inside this file was reset. Your hosting provider can help you check if the details in this file are correct.
If you cannot find a backup, the situation is serious, but don’t give up. Contact your host’s support again. This time, be very specific: “My database appears to be missing or empty, but my files are still in File Manager. Can you please check if you have a backup of the MySQL database for my site?” Using the correct terms will help them understand the real problem.

Also, the ISP said since I did’nt buy its backup package It may be impossible to help which I think is bollocks talk :(

Many thanks still :)
