Deleted Old Account But Want To Use Deleted Domain

    Hi! So I recently deleted my entire WordPress site that I created in high school under the domain amandacataldo.wordpress.com because I was trying to use that domain for my new portfolio site amandacatowldoe.wordpress.com.

    However when I try to make a new site with the same domain name as my previous (and now deleted) site, it won’t let me.

    Just wondering if I’ll ever be able to use my old domain name (amandacataldo.wordpress.com) on my new portfolio website?

    Hi there,

    We cannot recycle or reassign site addresses (URLs) once they are deleted, as we mention here: https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/

    When you change the address of your site it is permanent and cannot be undone, and the old address cannot be re-used for another site on your account.

    In this case you will need to find a new address for your site, it is not possible to use amandacataldo.wordpress.com
