Deleted old blog but it is still showing up in google

  Hi,

  I deleted an old WordPress blog but it still shows up in the search engine when I google my name. It says: The authors have deleted this blog. The content is no longer available. Is there any way I can stop it from showing up in search engines?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thinking about it…I would think you would have to contact google to get them to take it down or of course any other search engine like B

  You can try to request removal by use of the Google URL removal tool. Understand that Google may or may not agree and if they do the job will be done in batch mode with others so removal will not occur instantly.   When it comes to the other search engines, bats is correct. You gave to contact them to request early removal. If they do not choose to do that then the entries will be in existence for at least 3 – 6 months and sometimes longer.

  thanks TT I went to wp.COM’s support site to see what I could find and I never thought I’d beable to say this but DON’T contact them on this issue they can’t do anything about it. You have to wait for your SEO ratings to drop and like TT said it can take 3-6 months on Googles part to remove it.
