Deleted page, but sitll indexed in Google.

    Hallo!

    I made a brand new site 2 months ago. http://eccecello.com

    if you google “ecce cello”, the first results that show are my old website:

    davidfernandez.org/ecce-cello/

    But I erased those pages weeks ago! Why don’t they just disappear?? They are still indexed, and in fact, the link takes you somewhere else… (as those pages were erased weeks ago).

    How can I make those pages

    en.davidfernandez.org/ecce-cello

    not being indexed anymore?? I deleted them!

    It’s my profesional site, and I don’t want people googling my music band, to be redirected to a link that doesn’t even take you there!!

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or content does not remove it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

    I used google’s webmasters tools and followed all steps.
    But the recomendations also say:

  • If the page no longer exists, make sure that the server returns a 404 (Not Found) or 410 (Gone) HTTP status code. Non-HTML file (like PDFs) should be completely removed from your server.
    If the page still exists, use robots.txt to prevent Google from crawling it. Even if a URL is disallowed by robots.txt we may still index the page if we find its URL on another site. However, we won’t index the page if it’s blocked in robots.txt and there is an active URL removal request for the page.
