Deleted page still online

Hello, I hope you can help me.
I’ve tried to delete a page from my WordPress, however it still shows up when I google the title and authors name – ‘Bumps’ by Helen Kellock.
Our WordPress is for a Writers’ Circle, and Helen requested that her story was taken down as she’d like to try and get it published – so preferred it wasn’t available online. Respecting her wishes I’ve removed this from our Worpress site, and deleted the media. However as noted it still shows up if you google her ‘Bumps’ and Helen Kellock.
Can anyone advice on how to remove this permanently so that it doesn’t exist online.

Although you’ve deleted the page have you also deleted the pdf file from your Media Library? Surely if you had I wouldn’t be able to access the link you posted. Even once that has been done it may take days/weeks before the search engine caches are updated.
