Deleted pictures

I am doing a travel blog for friends and family. WIFI is often slow here on campsites in Europe and uploading pictures can take a very long time . Being a complete beginner I stupidly thought it would help if I deleted some of the existing pics in the media library. WRONG! It means that they don’t appear on the site UNLESS I view it as an administrator…then they are there?!
I have tried uploading some of the pics again. They don’t appear. I have tried replacing the pics as they appear on my administrator site with newly re-uploaded pics. Still they don’t appear. Any ideas?

The deleted pictures are from previous posts. The efforts to restore are on An A to Z of Snailing but have also deleted pics from For Sure, Belgium is not so boring and The Long Goodbye

I have tried replacing the pics as they appear on my administrator site with newly re-uploaded pics. Still they don’t appear. Any ideas?
If you permanently delete your images, you will need to upload them again. The best way to do that is by editing the affected post. Can you try that and let us know if you still need more help?

Yes I have already tried reuploading a couple of them by editing the relevant post but they still don’t appear. Yes I still need help but will be travelling without WIFI for a few days so I may not respond to advice straight away…grateful for any suggestions! -

An A to Z of Snailing, For Sure and Belgiium is not so boring. When we check on the mobile devices there are many pictures still missing on those posts. Don’t know what happens when we see from laptop. Will check when I can. As I say have only reuploaded a couole of pics to see what happens (from an a to z) They haven’t reappeared.

Thanks, I do see some missing images in that post. I’m looking at this image:

https://snailtrailers.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/sam_4482.jpg (with a 7 for July instead of an 8 for August) which is why it doesn’t work.When re-add images to a post, find the broken image reference and remove it, then click “Upload Media” to add the image back into the post with a proper reference. Basically you’ll be uploading it just like you did the first time.
In this case, for the images that you have already uploaded, you will just need to fix the reference. The least technical way to do this is to remove the broken image, insert media, and then add it from your media library.

I have tried this with one pic and it worked! Thanks so much…just have to spend an hour or two reuploading the others. They say you only learn the hard way, but I would never have worked that out so your help has been invaluable. Many thanks again.
