Deleted posts still show in google reader feed
-
I deleted posts in my blog, but they still show in the google reader feed (of myself and two other test subjects!). I realized those posts were still in the trash, so I permanently deleted them, but they still show up in the feed. Hmm?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Feeds are running lists of posts, and deleted posts don’t seem to ever disappear from feeds. At least that is my experience. I have a test blog and to test things for here in the forums, I’m constantly creating and deleting posts, and the feed for that blog is chocked full of posts that no longer exist.

Once a post/page you have deleted does produce a “404” (not found) you can use the URL removal tool. However, this removal will not be immediate so the deleted post(s) will still appear in the Google reader. Google will investigate and provide an update on the status of your request as soon as possible. Removals that are processed through this tool are excluded from Google search results for six months.
