  deleted site but wanted url for another account? so I’ve just made a terrible mistake and it’s irretrievable?
  I kinda wanted to directly email the wordpress people but I have no idea how this site works

  Yes, you’ve just made a terrible mistake and it’s irretrievable. That’s why there are three warnings and an email confirmation, all of which say deletion is permanent and irreversible.

  I suggest you register a throwaway URL, whatever.wordpress.com, and use the Custom Domain and Mapping upgrades to get whatyoureallywant.com instead.
