Deleted site

Hi,
I deleted media content after a copyright dispute. I renamed the site from colemaths to moonrocks79. Some of the deleted media is still available to download if a Google search for ‘Teejay colemaths’ is performed.
Is this an isp cache isue?

To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days and the deleted files will then become 404 page not found.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting public blogs and/or blog content from them does not remove indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 (page not found):

These are the items that are causing the problem as a consequence of the copyright issue. Is it possible to have these two url’s (of PDFs) deleted from the WP cache?

HI there,
Neither of those files are on our servers any more, as evidenced by the 404 error which I saw now when trying to view those links. If those links still work for you, it’s because the content is also cached locally in the browser on your computer.
As for search engine caches, we can’t help you. We don’t have access to Google’s servers to delete a file from their cache. You’ll need to contact them directly to request they do that.

kokkieh.
The links are working from here with my browser cache emptied. Trying to contact cole maths.wordpress.com does bring up a 404 error, but the link to the deleted file does not. I have contacted Google, but it appears direct access is still available.?Regards

@mrjohncole we’ve confirmed the cache for these URLs is clear here. Is there any chance you’re hitting cache at your network level?
