Deleted site content
-
Hello, I recently permanently deleted a WordPress blog entitled Brora Adventures. This wasn’t a mistake. However, some of the content is valuable, and I was sure I had a copy of all the content saved for a new blog I’ve just started. Is this content still recoverable?

Hey georgebrora,
Yes, the deleted site can be recovered within 30 days. Please share the site name, and a staff member will recover it for you.

Hello georgebrora!
Have you tried restoring from trash?
Here is a guide on how to do so: https://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/

Hi Mishivee, yes, I have spent all morning searching for ways to get content back. I don’t think there is a way I can get content back from a permanently deleted website. Thank you for your help and taking the time to respond.
Ravichahar, the reason I deleted the site to start a new one was because of its silly name. I had intended to call it BroraAdventures, but when it was created there was a string of numbers after it. It was BroraAdventures followed by I dunno 8 or 10 numerals, then wordpress.blog or something. I can’t find the url for the actual site and I certainly can’t remember the numbers included in that url. This is the reason I deleted it. Can the site be found from BroraAdventures?
Regards and thanks for your help here.

Hello georgebrora! So sorry that I missed that you permanently deleted! That is correct, you would have to follow what ravichahar mentioned and see if a staff member can help.

I’ve found my old blog in the notifications in the new site, and the url doesn’t have the numbers. No idea what I’m doing or thinking about here. Here is the url from notifications:

I’ve got it. The numerals were part of the url of a second blog I had which was deleted at the same time, and deleted correctly. Brora Adventures was deleted incorrectly, and the new blog I’ve just started this morning was begun to try to repair the blog which was deleted incorrectly. If Brora Adventures can be restored, I will simply continue to use it and not bother with the one I’ve just started this morning. Make allowances for me, I’m getting old :p

I’m still within 30 days so I’m hopeful this site can still be restored. Is there anything else I need to do?

broraadventures.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.Is there anything else I need to do?
Yes, a member of staff needs to be made aware that you wish to recover that deleted site so I have added a modlook tag to ask if you can be assisted.

@georgebrora I was able to recover the site for you.
Since you had intended to keep some content when you deleted your site, can you let us know what you’re trying to do?
Deleting the site deletes its name and content. If you want to keep the content for yourself, making the site private would work well. If you wanted to move the content to a new name, we have a rename tool that works for that.
Let us know what you have in mind and we’ll help you get this sorted.

Thanks for your time. I had two sites, one was deleted correctly, BroraAdventures was deleted incorrectly. If BroraAdventures could be completely restored that would be absolutely wonderful.
Thank you
