Deleted site, mapping still active – why ?
-
I have deleted my site beat.company and have restored the dns servers with my provider. Still – when trying to reach beat.company, it says: ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ‘
Logged in – there is no domain left to configure.
Is there anything I can do ?

Hi there,
I checked the domain and now it is pointing to your domain host. When you change nameservers, it can take some time for dns propagation to occur, which is why you received that warning message.
Hopefully this helps! Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi Darnell – I have changed Name Servers yet the domain is still pointing to WP.
The registrar has helped with DNS changes but after a seemingly successful propagation the address started redirecting back to the wordpress-hosted blog so I thought it might be related to this domain mapping.
Now I found this one:

Thanks,

I have done so: Cleared cache and chronic.
Would you b able to remove that one remaining DNS record that still points to WP:
ns3.wordpress.com
192.0.74.9 -
You will need to do that at your domain provider at Pure Domain, for they have control of your DNS settings since they host your domain.
I would contact them and ask them to assist you to remove those records, and you should be good to go. You’re good on this end because the mapping has been removed.
