Deleted site name

    I made my site address and then accidentally made a second. I deleted the address I wanted instead of the one I didn’t and now it won’t let me change it to the one I deleted! It says it’s already in use even though I never made a post on it and I deleted it. How can I get the address back?

    Can’t I just sign up for the same site address after I deleted old site?

    Recycling a .wordpress.com URL is possible only if 2 or more years have expired after deletion and only in some cases. Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.
