These are the urls that should be deleted:
    http://lisalewiswordpress.wordpress.com/bio/
    http://lisalewiswordpress.wordpress.com/2013/11/22/9/
    http://lisalewiswordpress.wordpress.com
Thanks so much! Panicking… I thought this was beta and not public.

You will need to talk to Google about that. They’re not that cooperative and unless there’s a legal case involved you’re probably going to be stuck with it.

Don’t panic, though. Just create another blog, make five or six posts, and bump that one right off the front page of Google. Within six months it will be deleted entirely.

Thank you so much for responding. Really appreciate it!

You’re welcome. Sorry I didn’t have more helpful news.

The blog does not seem to be deleted, I can still see those pages, did you really delete the blog or just delete it from your dashboard (hide it)?

Oh jeez. That’s a whole NOTHER issue. I didn’t think to make sure it was deleted in the first place.

Went thru all the steps to delete from WP site. I responded to the confirmation email that said it would be permanently deleted. Now, I don’t see it in my blog list anymore.

Frustrating to have it be instantaneous to post and a delay in the deleting.

I also went to the Google site and did their steps to delete the content. They say the next time it is “crawled” the content should be deleted. I am guessing it is a cache refresh. Can’t find any info on how often they “crawl”.

    Appreciate you responding.

I flagged this for staff attention. It won’t do you any good to ask Google to delete it if it’s not actually deleted.

In future, the fastest way to make a site disappear is actually to set it to Private. For some reason search engines pick up on that much faster. Then you can delete it once search engines have dumped it from their cache.

Can you feel the hug?!!? Thank you so much for flagging this for me. I feel horrible this happened (I thought it was private) and want to resolve it as quickly as possible.

    Hi there,

The site at http://lisalewiswordpress.wordpress.com/ isn’t linked to your WordPress.com account shamrockin7, which is why it isn’t showing up in your list of blogs on the My Blogs page.

You’ll need to log in to WordPress.com with the account you used to create that site in order to delete it or set it to private. If you have trouble deleting it while logged in to that account, please reply here or contact us from that account for further help.

If you can’t remember what account you used to create the site, you’ll need to get in touch with our account recovery team using this form: https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Thank you so much for all the information. I contacted the account recovery team. Fingers crossed they can help me.

Is there another way to contact the account recovery team? I submitted a request have not heard from anyone yet. Anxious to delete the content so it does not show up in Google search. Thanks!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

Thank you so much for the info. I have already submitted my request to delete the content through this Google link last week.
My issue is the content is coming from another WP account and I don’t remember the email I used or password to get to the content to delete it. That is why I am hoping the account recovery team can help me delete all my accounts and content.
    Appreciate you responding.

The Account Recovery Team will respond as soon as they can. They have a backlog. Staff work through tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Staff are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each request are. Do not contact them more than once, because if you do the timestamp will be more recent than the original request so it will take longer to get help.

One more thing, I had content in on account “shamrockin7” and deleted it but it turns out it is not the content currently showing up. I also thought everything I ever created was private and would not have this issue in needing to delete it.

Thank you so much timethief! You are a wealth of information. Now I know how often Google does the refresh and a better idea how the Account Recovery Team works.

What I posted was a rough estimate based on my experience. For all I know there could have been changes. You’re welcome and best wishes.

Timethief offered great advice here — our account recovery team gets quite a lot of requests for help and works through them in the order they were received. They’ll send you an email as soon as they are able to get to your request. Sorry for the wait!
