Deleted site's content still popping up on google images

  I deleted my site however images from it are still appearing on google images, and are linking to username.files.wordpress.com/… How do I make this stop?

  How long has it been since you deleted the images? Just a guess, but maybe it’s just taking awhile for Google to re-index your site.

  Oh thanks, that’s probably it. I deleted it today. How long would you expect till the images to stop popping up?

  Assuming that’s the problem, it’s hard to say how long it might take. It’s possible you can get Google to re-index your site, and that might make it happen sooner…if you go to Google and search for something like “how to get Google to re-index my site” you will see lots of possibilities.
