deleted url
-
Hi,
I deleted a site from the Tools >> Delete Site option on the left menu/dashboard bar. I only did so in order to start over. but it won’t let me recreate the same url. When the warning says I won’t be able to get the blog back, I assumed it meant the content and not the actual url. Can you please tell me how I can go about using my deleted url?Thank you,
DarrylThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address. If you delete a blog you will not be able to get it back and no one else will be able to use that blog address. You must be sure you never want to use the blog again if you delete it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If you clicked it and the blog was deleted it’s game over. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

I already registered the domain with another registry. can i point it to the wordpress site and still use mydomain.wordpress.com? also, can i use the wordpress service with the .wordpress.com inthe address of my blog?
thanks again,

You can purchase a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is but there has to be one underlying .wordpress.com address top map from to the domain. Hopefully, you understand that.
If you would like to use your domain you will first need to purchase a domain mapping upgrade http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ set up domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.
