Deleted URL -> New Account

  So I registered a new blog http://www.magsinetayo.wordpress.com but after the first post I decided to delete it and register it again on a new account specifically for that blog so my team can access it without me having to give them my personal account’s details.

  I deleted the blog from my dashboard, clicked on the confirmation email, and did everything else that needed to be done. But after trying to register the blog under the new account, WordPress said that the site/address was taken, so I thought “Maybe because I just deleted it. Let’s give it a few hours.” So after 2 days, I tried going at it again, but to my dismay, WordPress still said the same thing – the site/address was taken. :(

  So my question is, is it not possible for me to use the same site/address that I deleted from my personal account and use it for another blog under a different one?

  Please help me shed some light on this. Any input will be appreciated.

  Once you delete a free hosted wordpress.com it’s gone forever and the URL cannot be recycled and reused by you or by anyone else. That’s why there are 3 warnings when you delete a blog. There are no exceptions. I’m afraid you will have to register another one.

  Gah, seems like I missed out 2 of the 3 warnings before deleting the blog. Haha! I guess I just have to move on then and look for another domain.

  PS – each blog is separate from each other even if they are in the same account. I am admin on a couple of blogs for friends and their blogs are in my account (the blogs were gifts to them so they could share their adventures with their friends and not need to email a ton of pictures around) – and any way – each blog is completely separate from each other and they can’t see anything on the other blogs but I have access to all of them.

  You can also transfer a blog to another user after it is set up.
