Deleted webpage, yet one week after still in wordpress.com cache…

How can I clear wordpress.com cache? A page that was deleted a week ago still shows, but can’t access it any longer in media / documents.

First of all, please make sure the file has been deleted from your WordPress.com. Please refer to the article below to double-check if the file has been removed from your Media.

If it’s removed, then you could proceed to contact Google to request for content removal from the link I sent above.

Doesn’t work.
File is still online despite being deleted several days ago.
Tried to upload a new file with the same name, but it gets the …1 added, meaning wordpress.com still thinks the deleted file is valid.
Would be great to have a cache clearing function.

Hello there, That link is a 404 for me (temp screenshot).
Try logging out of WordPress.com and then clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. Alternatively, try using a different browser that you haven’t checked that link with.
As staff-zara mentioned, WordPress.com doesn’t have any control over Google’s cache. You would either need to wait until Google recrawls the site or contact them directly to remove it from their cache of it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

It’s three weeks now since deleting the page and it’s still shown…
It’s not about Google cache, it’s about that the deleted page / PDF file is still stored and accessible from wordpress.com.
What to do?

Hello there, when I tried to access the PDF file (https://jeanpaulbos.files.wordpress.com/2018/07/jandirkmann-com.pdf) I’m seeing a 404 File not found error. Please see below screenshot.
Did you try to clear your browser’s cache or try accessing it with different browsers?
And as @justjennifer tested on 25th July, the link is already inaccessible for her.

Hello again, that link is still a 404 for me, but I’ve gone ahead and tagged this thread for Staff attention to ask them to double check that it has been purged from WordPressdotcom’s servers. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.
