Deleted Website Recovery

I’ve had a blog with WordPress for a few years now. Recently, I decided to do away with my old blog and start something new since I have grown older and a lot has changed about me. I started a new website with the URL http://KeenanWooten.wordpress.com, as that is my name. Soon after creating the website I realized that I could have just kept my old blog and changed the site address. I deleted the website, but can’t use my domain again. Is there anyway I can contact WordPress and get them to make the domain available again? I have many followers on my current blog and it would greatly help if I could just keep it and change the site address. Any help on how to contact WordPress would be great. Thank you!

I am sorry but you cannot register a deleted blog URL. No one can use a deleted blog URL regardless of who registered it. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here and you can confirm by reading:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
