Deleted whole media library without knowing it would remove all my pictures

I just deleted all the photos out of my media library for a photography blog, I had run out of space and without thinking about it deleted the whole media library to make room for more photos to upload. Now as you can guess all of the pictures point to nowhere and I have nothing in my blog posts. I had over 600 pictures and they were renamed when loaded into wordpress, does ANYONE have ANY idea if there is a way to somehow bring them back without having to reload and rename and redo alllll of my blog posts back to last year??!?!?

Your media library is where all of your photos and files are stored. If you deleted all of the files, then you will have to replace them and edit all of your posts with the “new” replaced images.

Properly compressed jpegs should allow you to have thousands of images with 3 GB of space. When you re-do your pictures make sure they are compressed for the web. Each image should be smaller than 100 kb, or better: less than 50 kb. Online resolution is only 72 px so why waste your storage space with huge files? Plus smaller files won’t be copied and printed w/o your permission.

I don’t know, but you might look in your trash folder to see if the files have not been permanently deleted.

If you delete a post or page it stays in your trash folder until you permanently delete it. I don’t know if deleting pictures from your library might still be in a trash folder.
