Deleting a blog

I can’t find the difference between deleting one of my blogs and deleting a site… I just want to delete one I used for practice. But I have other blogs that I want to keep. The instructions say go to TOOLS — DELETE BLOG. But what it says is TOOLS–DELETE SITE. Is a site just the one specific blog I am in? I just used this as a practice one and can get rid of it, but not others I use.

blog = site with post based structure
website = site with page based structureAny WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based.
Every blog is an independent website and deleting one blog (website) registered under the same username account that other blogs are registered under has no affect at all on any other blog.
Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled. If you delete a blog URL it can not be used by you or by anyone else again. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ That is why I suggest you consider using the privacy setting instead. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

I think you have been using the Britishism of “blog” to mean “blog post.” We have a lot of people asking how to delete blogs, we tell them how, and then they are upset because they only wanted to delete a blog post.
