Deleting a blog and Creating a New One at the Same URL?

I have a WordPress blog at sidbedingfield.com. I would like to delete the current blog and build a new one using the same url. Is this possible?

DON’T DELETE THE BLOG – once a blog URL is deleted it is gone forever even from you
Use the Bulk edit feature to clear the content from you blog – @TT has a nice paste in how to do that maybe she will add it below

If you do not have a lot of content you can easily delete all blog content by yourself rather than waiting for Staff to do it for you.
