deleting a blog – consequenses for a new blog?

I want to delete an old Blog, because I joined an other Team-Blog. I am the only Author and Admin at the new Blog. If I delete the ‘old’ Blog, does this affect the new one?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All blogs are independent websites and what you do on one has no impact on any other site.
Did you register the blog you want to delete or not?
If you want to leave a blog you have been made an official user of by way of invitation you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog
