Deleting a blog that formally had a jetpack attached to it, but it's expired
-
Hi, I need to delete a blog but can’t seem to work out how. I don’t really understand much of this stuff, but part of an old blog is still coming up in search engines and I need it deleted asap. I think it is a wordpress.com blog which was attached to another blog, that had a jetpack attached to it. I can still log in to My Site on wordpress.com, but it says it has no site linked to it. But when I search in Google, the site appears. The site address is https://millafildes.wordpress.com/. Please help, I don’t need anything back up…just need the whole thing deleted!

Hi there,
The site at https://millafildes.wordpress.com/ is not deleted, but is online and visible to search engines, and has been since it was created two years ago. The account you are using to post here is also not the owner of that site.
The only person who can delete that site is the username that created it, so if you created that site you need to log in as the correct username, then you can delete it under My Site ->Settings. We cannot delete a site belonging to a different username under any circumstances.
Also note that after deleting the site it might still show up in search results on Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. This is because search engines cache sites on their own servers. We have no control over that, and you’ll need to contact each search engine separately to request removal of your site from their respective caches.
