deleting a category

  I want to move a category to be a sub-category i.e. Gemstones

  Hi there,

  You can set a parent category for an existing category so that it becomes a sub-category using the categories panel in writing settings:

  My Site → Settings → Writing → Categories

  From here click the three dots next to the category that you want to update, and click edit. Next disable the Top Level Category switch. After this you will be able to choose a parent category. Finally click update to save your changes.
