Deleting a .com
-
After setting up a blog and upgrading it to a .com, I decided the blog format was not what I wanted for this particular site, so I transferred the domain name to another host/provider & deleted the blog.
The problem I am having is that the .com continues to exist. Assistance would be awesome, as I basically have no idea what to do at this point.

Thanks.
Note that if your remove the domain then all the links to your content in search engines and everywhere they appear on the internet will be broken. Everyone who clicks one will get a 404 page not found http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/08/05/avoid-creating-404-pages/

The site appears deleted and I have canceled the domain mapping upgrade that was still active.
You should be all set. Let me know if not.

So I’m still having an issue: the site is showing up as “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found.” How do I get rid of this? Thanks.

It sounds like you do not have your domain’s nameservers pointing to your current webhost.
Check with your webhost and find out what nameservers they require. Then log into your domain registrar and make the change.

Perfect, got it, thanks! You have solved all my problems and I hope you have a really great day.
