Deleting a comment

My mom has a blog at spanglishmagazine.wordpress.com. She hasn’t used it in a while. She runs a local magazine in Vancouver BC, and for some reason, someone thought that would make her qualified to help him find a house in Vancouver after his wife left him. Except, instead of messaging her privately, he posted on the public comments section. Now he’s demanding she take the comment off her site, as it’s embarrassing to him, and has even involved the Mexican consulate in the matter. Problem is, my mom hasn’t used WordPress or the email address she used to register it for such a long time, she can’t remember any passwords. In fact, she’s not sure what email address she even used. Is there any way we can delete the site, or at least get rid of this one offending comment?

Only the blog owner or another Admin or Editor can delete a comment. WordPress.COM will not delete a comment short of them receiving a court order from a US court directing them to remove the comment.
Your mom should log out of WordPress.COM then go through the account recovery process since she seems not to have the old email
