Deleting a file page
-
Several months ago, I added my resume to my wordpress site in a pdf file under media. I have subsequently taken it down. However, when I google my phone number, the pdf file of the resume is still online, visible in the google search. This contains my full name, my previous employment, and other information, including my phone number. This is extremely disturbing to me, and I want the hyperlink destroyed or taken down. I don’t know how to do that. I have already deleted the resume from the media files on my site, but it is still visible. Please advise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is a similar problem to what happened to a woman a few days ago with a pdf file which did not delete from the media file in a timely manner. A member of staff took care of deleting the file. I’ve modlooked this topic so staff will see this. Subscribe so you’ll be notified when there is a response.

Staff cannot delete anything they do not have the URL for.
What is the URL of the resume file please?
To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
