Deleting a Free WordPress Blog After Switching to Self Hosted?

  In 2012 I switched my zephyrhill.wordpress.com blog to a self-hosted at zephyrhillblog.com. My question is, can I go ahead and delete the old free site without messing anything up? All my content was migrated over back in 2012, but I’m still seeing some of the old blog posts pop up in Google search results (instead of the new site).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes, it’s safe to delete it, but if you simply want to prevent it from appearing in Google’s search results you can make it private:
