Deleting a mapped domain?

  Hello! I have an old domain mapped to my site that I would like to permanently delete. Based on my review of other questions in this forum it looks like I may not have the ability to do this myself and I need assistance from WordPress staff? I changed the name of my page and am now on a different primary domain (www.worldmapsandyogamats). I’d like to remove the domain mapped to my account: http://www.bootsandbolsters.com. Thanks for your help or guidance on how to do this myself!

  Hi There,

  Thanks for your quick response to my inquiry. I did not know that removing the mapping to the old domain would remove my plan from my account. I paid for a premium plan and it does not expire until March 2019. Since I set my new domain as my “primary domain” I simply wanted to remove the old domain mapping to tie off the loose end and clean up my internal settings. I reviewed my page today and I see that it indicates I am now considered to be on a free plan, it has changed my custom theme and web design/set up. I did not realize this would happen! Is there anything you can do to restore my page and details to my paid account settings?

  Thank you so much. I’m still learning and appreciate your help. I’ve spent a TON of time getting my page ready to launch and it was almost perfect! As I’ve paid for the premium plan through next March I would really appreciate if you could help me understand how to restore.

  Hi Katie, can you head to https://wordpress.com/plans/worldmapsandyogamats.com and re-purchase Premium? I’ve added credit to your account so it won’t cost extra. I just want to be sure it’s properly connected to your domain so they will renew together.

  Thanks so much, Supernova! I’ve re-purchased using the credit that you provided. It worked!

  I’d there anyway to restore my previous settings? If not I can reformat it but it would be awesome if there were a quicker way.

  I re-activated the theme I was using previously and it appears to be back to the former settings! Thanks so much for your help! I think I’m all set now!
