Deleting a New Account

How can I delete my account without having to sacrifice the ability to use my same email address and Login name to set up another account within 30 days? I just set the account up now, and it was basically an accident. All I was trying to do was find out about WordPress and how it works. I didn’t want to actually have an account yet.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Usernames on WordPress.com hosting can’t be reused, and there’s not an option to delete an account and use the email again within 30 days. However, there’s no obligation to pay for anything here now or ever, so the best option is just not deleting your account.

It looks like you already deleted this account and may not get this reply. If you do, reply back to the closure email to recover the account and free site address. That address and username won’t go back into the system to use again.

Of note, this is WordPress.com hosting rather than WordPress. Here’s a bit about the differences- https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Just a correction here: After 30 days the email can be used again to create a different account. Only the username can never be re-used.
