Deleting a Page
-
Hi! I’ve just started building my website and when I pushed ‘Publish’ (because there was no ‘Save’ button, it went ahead and published my website. I figured how to Edit and save the pages as a draft BUT the Blog page is keeping the site open because there is no delete button nor can i edit it to draft for whatever reason. Please help! I’m already accumulating viewers when this is no where near ready and it’s getting very frustrating to navigate what to do. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi becsyboo22,
Great to hear you have started building a website!
A quick way to prevent visitors from viewing your new website while you are still building it is to set your blog to Private, and then change it back to Public when you are ready for visitors to view it. Read more about how to adjust your privacy settings here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
If it’s only a particular post (or page) you don’t wish visitors to view you can change the post’s visibility in its “Document Settings” -> “Status & Visibility”. You can read more about how to do that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-and-page-visibility/
Hope this works for you.

Hi everyone, I kind of having similar problem, how do I delete a wp site which I don’t have access to the email anymore(got hacked). The thing is it is very important as I need to delete the information which have contact numbers which do not relate to my business services anymore as we have changed address and contact registration details for the business service. Anyone have any ideas on how to contact WordPress team to delete this page the soonest?
Thanks! -
Hi azrilamir,
That does sound like a tricky situation for you. What is the URL to the website in question?
If you can provide WordPress.com with Proof of Ownership of the account you have lost access to, you can use the Account Recovery Form here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form.
