Deleting a PDF from blog leaves a link to an existing file through Google
-
Hi,
I deleted a PDF from my ArchitectureRock blog but still there is a link to an existing file through Google:
Book: Internet of Cars, NTNU Norway
‘Deleting permanently’ did not delete it at all. What to do to delete the PDF really permanently?
Br, J Risku
P.S. I understand, that Google keeps the link very long time, but it should not lead to any PDF.

Depending on how long ago you permanently deleted those files from your trash bin, it may still take a little while for it to shake out of the system. From the TOS:
If you delete Content, Automattic will use reasonable efforts to remove it from the Website, but you acknowledge that caching or references to the Content may not be made immediately unavailable.
If this is an urgent situation, you can contact: support at wordpress dot com

Hi there,
That file is no longer on our servers. I cleared it from our cache just in case.
But it can still be cached with Google, and people will be able to still access the file if that’s the case. You will need to contact Google directly to have the file removed from their servers.
