Deleting a primary site, and keeping the same username.
-
Hi there,
It’s been awhile since I’ve used WordPress and I figured out which theme I want to use and username. I was wondering if there was a way I could delete this wordsoflilypearl and create a new one with the second site I created. The theme I want to use isn’t working on this one for some reason. The second site I have is Love letters by Lilypearl but I want the name of the blog to be love letters and the site to stay wordsbylilypearl.
is there anything that we can do?Best,

Hi Lily,
The username associated with a WordPress.com account is unaffected by deletion of a site in the account. If the new site is the only one in the account, then it will automatically become the primary site. If not, then the primary site may be changed as described in the Primary Site section of the Account Settings support page. I’m not sure, but it might be necessary to launch the site in order to set the new site as the primary one.

Your present username is wordsbylilyypearl, with a double “y.” You may change that if you like to wordsbylilypearl, which is available. Instructions may be found in the Change Your Username support page.
