Deleting a site
-
I’ve just created a site to muck around and play with it, but I don’t actually want to have an ongoing site, and don’t see myself with a site like this anytime in the future. Nonetheless, I don’t want to prevent myself from ever having a site using this domain again; is their anyway to delete this site since I don’t want it, but release the wordpress.com subdomain so myself, or anyone else, can reuse it?

Hi @timrossback,
You can delete sites by following the guide linked at
Deleting a site permanently removes it and its WordPress.com address will not be reusable.

Hi there!
Thanks, I’m well aware of that page.
I’d just like to ask if there’s anyway to delete it while releasing the subdomain out? I have absolutely no issue with it being available for other people to use, and I haven’t really actually used the site – it’s not even launched.

Hey again!
There’s no way to reuse the address once it’s been deleted.
Alternatively, you can empty your site and start over:
https://wordpress.com/support/empty-site/Or you can change the site address:
