Deleting a site

  I thought I had just changed the site address and name of my wordpress site, but instead it seems that I now have 2 separate sites because I opted not to delete the original URL, thinking I might use it again someday as a domain for something else. However, I think it’s confusing for followers so I’m thinking about deleting it entirely. If I do so, will I ever be able to create another site with that domain again?

  Hi there,
  Deleting the website will make you loose your domain completely,
  here are the details, here is quote from the page
  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address

  Instead, you can just Empty the site or make the site Private, the Support page gives you details of the site deletion and also links to Empty your Site and Making your site Private, so you can preserve the Domain if you want to use it in the future.
