Deleting a site, but no options to delete
-
I have followed every instruction on WordPress.com on deleting a site from my account. It is a free site, but there are no links anywhere to remove the site. Settings is blank, I cannot delete posts. How can I remove it?
-
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting.
And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.
-
P.S. Note that the site linked to your username is not a WordPress.COM hosted site and we do not provide support for it.
-
I believe you are speaking of my real estate site, which is not a WordPress.com site. veteranshope.wordpress.com is however, right?
I just want it removed from my wordpress.com login.

To delete a WordPress.COM hosted blog you must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to navigate to Dashboard > Tools > Delete Site. The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
There is a single email address that can be used on only one username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.
Issues Changing your Email Address https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/#issues-changing-your-email-address
You can change your email address on your accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account
Also consult these guides:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/Once you login under the correct username account clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username account, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If the log-in information is lost visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword This support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/ covers how to change or reset your account password, and keeping your WordPress.com account (and other online services) secure.
See also Selecting a Strong Password https://en.support.wordpress.com/selecting-a-strong-password/If you check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.
Additional information:
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/Alternatively, to change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

I will try all that, so far none of the instructions I have seen have been successful. Thank you
-
None of these instructions are successful. I can “hide” it in my login, however for legal reasons, I want to be completely removed.
Suggest I delete my account completely, then setup up Jetpack for actual sites?

Hi Chris,
The username you are using for this post is not an administrator on this site.
If you are not sure of the login information for the administrator of this site but know the email associated with that account, you can enter that in the password reset tool here:
https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you do not have the email or password associated with the account, you can follow these instructions for account recovery:
