Deleting a site – problem

I’ve followed the wordpress.com instructions to delete the site but I get no email asking to confirm the deletion so the site remains on my account.
I recently changed my account details to reflect my current email address. When I check my account details I can see my current email address but I wonder if this is the cause of the problem. I am no longer able to access the old email address, so I can’t check if the confirmation is being sent there….

Hi there. Please check the spam folder on your new email address, and if it’s a Gmail address, also check the Social tab of the inbox.
Let us know if you can’t find it there.

Sorry, I forgot to say that I’ve checked all folders for the email, including Spam and the Social tab of inbox… Still no confirmation email.

Hi @agadash, can I have you check two things?
Go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and check to be sure the email address there is the one you want to use.
Then go to wordpress.com/settings , and scroll down on the site settings and choose to delete your site.

Great. That seems to have done it. Your method allowed me to delete the site without waiting for a confirmation email. Previously I was trying to delete the site through the WP Admin side menu bar and that was requiring a confirmation that never arrived… Thank you.
