Deleting a user from a private blog
-
I have recently broken up with my boyfriend and want to make sure that I have deleted him from viewing my private blog. I deleted him from the “users” but will this actually disable him from even seeing my blog in the future?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

See here for who can set what when your blog visibility is set to “private” > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Unfortunately, this doesn’t address deletions. Someone may not be able to comment, but can they still see? I really don’t want him to anything anymore. thanks!

I you set your blog to private (“make visible only to users I choose” option), then I don’t see how a user that isn’t on that list could see it, whether they were on the list previously or not. It would be very strange for the user list not to exclude anyone not on it. So if you delete him, you should be fine.
If you haven’t changed your own password recently, though, you might want to do that if there’s any chance that he either knows the password or could easily guess it.

I’m sorry I wasn’t more clear about this. Also note that when a blog visibility is set to “private”, only those subscribers who have been expressly given access to the blog (through blog visibility or adding users) will be notified by email of new posts. All the others, even if they are subscribed, will receive no notification. You have removed your ex now. :)

Great! Thank you both for the information. I really don’t want to deal with all the comments he seems to want to make. Life is moving upward and onward.
